I'm just getting going model railroading. I have bought a Hornby OO-scale kit and I'm currently investigating how DCC works. My plan is to build all my own electronic components and control my models from a custom built computer.

The OO-scale is way too large for comfort. For now it will serve as a test platform while I learn what I need to know. When I'm ready, I'll probably start out with N-scale to build my first real model layout.
